Post Processing of Images

Learn what you can do with your photos after you have taken them

Starting time for course: May 2011

What do you do if you have taken a series of really good pictures, but when you look at them on your computer you discover there was a smudge or a fleck of dust on the lense?
- or you have that annoying pole turning up in the background on all of your best shots?
- or the day that should have been sunny turned out to be clouded, and some of your photos seem too be a bit washed out and a little grey and boring?

This course is all about teaching you to make the best of your photos in a few easy steps.

Recap of some of the things we will be doing on the course:
  • learn how to remove flaws due to smudges or dust on the lense
  • correction of washed out and/or grey-ish pictures
  • correcting a blue, yellow or red tint
  • removing objects or people from the background
  • changing a white/grey sky into a lovely blue colour
  • making the colours on your image "pop out"

On the course we will introduce you to some of the programs you can use for processing your images: Picasa, ACDSee, Photoshop Elements, Gimp and more.
